Step-in fibreglass and plastic posts

Step-in posts are the standard choice for temporary and semi-permanent electric fence installations on agricultural land. The pointed base drives into most UK soil types by foot pressure alone, without tools or a post rammer. Removal is equally quick: twist slightly and pull. This makes paddock relocation for rotational grazing a task measurable in minutes rather than hours. Insulator clips are moulded integrally at standard heights for polywire and tape conductors.

Permanent wooden and steel posts

For the corner, strainer and gate posts of a permanent electric fence boundary, greater post size and rigidity are required to anchor the tensioned conductor runs and absorb the forces applied by wire tensioners. Gemi supplies heavy-gauge steel angle posts and round steel tube posts for these anchor positions, sized for the conductor cross-section and fence height required.

Compatibility with Gemi insulators
