CHIMNEY FAN
A Gemi chimney fan is the definitive solution to smoke problems in fireplaces, wood-burning stoves, pizza ovens and barbecues. Installed on top of the existing flue without any masonry work, the fan's motor generates a constant upward airflow that pulls combustion gases out of the building regardless of wind direction, atmospheric pressure or flue geometry. Gemi chimney fans are sold direct from the Italian factory at manufacturer's prices. UK technical support, pre-sale model selection advice and 24–48h delivery are included as standard with every order, regardless of order value.
How a chimney fan solves smoke problems
Passive cowls rely on wind to create draught — they fail in calm conditions and can reverse in certain wind directions, pushing smoke back into the room. A Gemi electric chimney fan generates its own extraction force independently of external conditions. The result is a consistent negative pressure at the fireplace opening that prevents any smoke from entering the living space, even during the critical cold-start phase when the flue is still warming up.
Range overview: basic, professional, copper, Corten, AISI 304
The Gemi range covers five construction variants. The basic model in galvanised sheet handles flues up to 300°C with 2,500 m³/h extraction capacity. The professional stainless steel AISI 304 model operates up to 700°C with 3,800 m³/h capacity. Copper and Corten steel versions offer the same technical specifications as the professional model with architectural finishes suited to listed buildings and contemporary construction alike.
Variable speed controller included
Every Gemi chimney fan ships with a variable speed controller allowing up to six fan speeds. This means extraction rate can be matched to fire intensity — lower speed for a gentle log fire, maximum extraction when lighting or clearing a persistent smoke problem.
